Aluminium can recycling video

This video takes a look inside an aluminium can recycling plant to see how a can goes from your recycling bin back to the shop shelves as a new can.

Aluminium can be infinitely recycled. Because of this, we say it has a recycling loop, beginning as a used can and going through all the stages of recycling until it has been remade into a new can, with all the same properties. This loop can go round and round without the can losing any quality, and an old can could be back on the shelves as a new one within 60 days.

The video below takes you into Novelis’s can recycling plant in Warrington in the North West of England to see what happens to a can to get the metal back on the shelves.
